Rushi Shahiwala is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist and Director of Texas Star Rehab & Sports Performance Center, with over 25 years of experience in helping individuals—from everyday patients to elite professional athletes—recover, perform, and thrive. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the rehabilitation and performance optimization of hundreds of patients and professional athletes across the United States and Canada.

Rushi is the creator of Fitzone360, an all-in-one fitness and wellness platform, and a Founding Director of the New York Sports Science Lab. He has trained and treated athletes across a wide range of sports, including world-class boxers, UFC fighters, golfers, cricketers, tennis players, NBA and NFL players, fencers, swimmers, ice hockey players, and Olympic-level athletes, in addition to providing comprehensive care for patients with pain, trauma, and post-surgical conditions.

In 2016, Rushi served as a Team Leader at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, appointed by National Geographic to analyze former Olympic champions and compare their performance characteristics with those of average athletes for a televised sports science series. He was also featured on Canadian television in 2008 for his work on the health benefits of using video games in clinical rehabilitation settings.

Rushi has contributed extensively to education and professional development. He served as a committee member and Chief Therapist in developing the Health and Lifestyle Management curriculum at Durham College in Oshawa, Canada, and has been a Clinical Instructor for Columbia University (New York) and Queen’s University (Canada).

He was affiliated with the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS)—the #1 orthopedic hospital in the United States—as an Advanced Hip Clinician. Additionally, he has taught continuing education courses in Soft Tissue Release in India and has delivered multiple webinars on advanced treatment techniques.
After spending more than a decade in Toronto, Canada, and nearly a decade in New York, Rushi has relocated to Texas. He now offers comprehensive prehabilitation, rehabilitation, and performance services at two locations: Irving and Frisco, Texas. Drawing on his extensive experience in major North American cities, Rushi continues his commitment to helping individuals enhance their physical health and athletic performance through personalized care and advanced therapeutic techniques.

Rushi has also served as a Physical Therapist for the All-Star Cricket League (featuring Sachin Tendulkar in the USA) and currently works as a Physical Therapist for Mumbai Indians (MI) New York in Major League Cricket. He is also a Faculty Member at Parul University, India.

Outside of work, Rushi enjoys exercising, Running, Rock climbing, and playing Tennis.
